Admission Procedure

IMS welcomes individuals with diverse interests and backgrounds who are motivated to pursue graduate level work in the field of movement studies. Professional dance or movement training is not required, but experience in movement and a willingness to learn through movement is important.

To apply, please download the application form. You may apply at any time. The application requires a non-refundable administrative fee of US$100.

A committee of IMS faculty will review your application when it is received and will notify you within several weeks of their decision. Students will be accepted into the program until the program is full. If you have been notified of acceptance into the Certificate Program, a non-refundable tuition deposit of US$500 will be required to hold your place in the program. This payment is credited towards your tuition and is due within two weeks of your acceptance. If you choose not to accept your place in the program at this point, you may accept later, but you stand the chance that the program will be filled. The US$500 will be refunded if the program is canceled for any reason.
