CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

"I feel I have received the fullest, most complete humane
education of my life in the IMS program. What made this
program so effective was the richness of the material and
the instructors depth of knowledge that they are so deeply
and joyfully committed to sharing. The entire IMS experience
was an enlivened, embodied model for life at large
and was truly transformational to me."

Marcia Nolte - SOMA Practitioner

Certificate Programs in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies are graduate level programs, which provide
a comprehensive study of movement and its
meaning. As a participant in these programs you
will gain a deeper understanding of the structural, functional and expressive aspects of human
movement. Through a rich variety of movement experiences you will become more coordinated and dynamic as a mover. As an observer of movement, you will refine your eye and kinesthetic empathy to discern how movement is revealing patterns of behavior
and cultural and aesthetic style. The programs are appropriate for individuals in any field that uses the practice, observation or assessment of movement,
skills development, re-education or therapy.

As a student in this program you are encouraged
to explore and manifest what is personally
meaningful to you. Many graduates have stated
that the IMS programs enhance creativity, personal and professional growth and integration. These programs are engaging, fun, transformative and profoundly enlivening.
